The State of Florida saw a new record of 8,942 new cases of Coronavirus cases reported on Friday. This has prompted the State to suspend the consumption of alcohol at bars, we have not heard how this will effect Disney World during the reopening.
The NBA also reported that 16 players have tested positive for the Coronavirus and are going to be under quarantine for 14 days. With the NBA scheduled to resume the 2020 season in Orlando/Disney World, you have to wonder if this will have an effect on that.
Yes, but I really look forward to going in the future and it’s fun to dream and plan.
I believe Florida’s Governor did not do his due diligence. Whether due to pressure or ignorance it was too much, too soon. Beaches, amusement parks, anywhere for large crowds to gather, will keep this going. We need to be patient. Stay safe. 💕

I am not surprised unfortunately and honestly I anticipate an announcement soon that WDW will delay opening also. It’s a realistic possibility…

Our trip has already been cancelled but I think I would be concerned to go to Florida now. We are sneaking over to Cape Cod for a few days at the end of July. At least it is something.
My plan is to visit in February 2021.
We decided to hold off and wait till the fall with the rise of cases. Just isn’t worth the risk. Plus wearing a mask in this heat all day is just miserable.
